Fix Buffering Issues

Experiencing buffering or loading issues? Follow these quick solutions to improve your streaming experience.

Check Your Internet Speed

Streaming requires a stable internet connection. Minimum recommended speeds:

  • SD (Standard Definition): 3-5 Mbps
  • HD (720p): 5-10 Mbps
  • Full HD (1080p): 10-20 Mbps
  • 4K Ultra HD: 25+ Mbps
Run Speed Test

Optimize Your Network

  • Move closer to your Wi-Fi router or use an Ethernet cable for a wired connection
  • Restart your router and modem by unplugging them for 30 seconds
  • Close other apps and devices using bandwidth (downloads, other streams)
  • Disconnect devices not in use from your network
  • Upgrade your router if it's more than 5 years old

Adjust Streaming Quality

Lowering the video quality can help if your connection is slower:

  1. While streaming, click the settings gear icon in the player
  2. Select "Quality" or "Video Quality"
  3. Choose a lower resolution (720p or 480p)
  4. The stream should buffer less at lower quality

Clear Cache and Restart

Sometimes cached data can cause playback issues:

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies
  • Close and reopen the Kristal Streams app
  • Restart your streaming device
  • Update to the latest app version
